On the successful completion of Drop of Life Phase – 01 & the ongoing Dry period we decided to organize the phase 02 to distribute water to the affected people by the Drought in the island. On the decision made, we selected Hambantota & Thissamaharamaya for the purpose. We distributed 30,000 litres of water in phase 02 summing up the total capacity of water that was distributed in the Project Drop of Life to 54, 000 litres of water. We happened to know from those people that they had to wait on the roads for hours or sometimes days for the arrival of a water bowser to fulfill their needs. They were grateful that we could quench their thirst even for a few days.
