Due to the harsh dry condition that prevailed in many parts of the island we decided to lend a helping hand to the people who were suffering due to the unavailability of quality drinking water & access to any water source which could be used for their daily use. On the request made by the Assistant Divisional secretariat Rambewa we launched the project “Drop Of Life” to distribute water to the affected people from the drought.On the 13th of August 2014, We travelled miles to distributewater for people in Galkandegama & Thalgahawewa Grama Niladhari Divisions under Rambewa Divisional Secretariat in the North Central Province . With the contributions made by the club members & other external individuals & organizations we were able to distribute 24,000 litres of water which was sufficient enough for the consumption by them for 15 long days.
